Godello

This wine has a huge personality, brimming with charming energy, distinguished structure and all the complexity of an inland grape that has discovered and lives happily in the oceanic climate. It expresses the overlapping of two worlds: the character of the Atlantic and the delicate continental charm of the Godello grape; the open, vibrant nature of Mar de Frades dressed in the unrivaled elegance of Godello.

Vineyard

Made from grapes grown on trellised vines located in Salnés and Ribera del Ulla, each location with its own microclimate, connected by the character of the Atlantic and the influence of their rivers. The winegrowing is conscientious, seeking to maintain the balance in the soil and the surroundings.

Production

A manual harvest is carried out into small crates, and the grapes selected with the utmost care. Fermentation is meticulous, with temperature control. Left to rest for two winters, the second of which the lees are stirred very slowly and gently. This process lasts 10 months and serves to give the wine complexity. A small portion of the mature wine is matured in French oak barrels, and blended back in after 5 months. Finally, the wine is refined in bottle for 7 months.

Tasting

APPEARANCE: Pale and bright, lemon in colour with greenish flickers.

NOSE: Very floral, with notes of jasmine, rose and gardenia. Tinges of confectionary, tropical fruit and stone fruit like apricot.

MOUTH: Delicate, voluminous and pleasant, with balsamic notes. Reminiscent of the salinity of Mar de Frades.
